Cara Smith
Marine Biologist/ Sail Training/ Dive Training
Cara began her career in outdoor education 8 years ago when she lead a group of young adults to Dominica on a service project with Putney travel. Her career as an educator continued as an instructor and then assistant director at the Catalina Island Marine Institute, where she shared her knowledge of marine science with countless young minds for over five years. Cara has continued to share her love of the ocean as the 5th and 6th grade science teacher in Fort Myers Florida. Throughout her life Cara has always remained close to the ocean as a sailor, surfer, diver, photographer, videographer, and teacher. She is tireless in her desire to change the oceans future.
Qualifications: Lifeguard, First Aid/ CPR, PADI Diver, Reef Check Instructor, 50 Gross Ton Captain, and BS Wesleyan University: Biology
